An evolving blog
Until now, a major aspect of this blog concerned the detailing of my burnout and its underlying circumstances. That will change.
I have recently begun studying philosophy, which—over time—will become this site's actual focus. It's too early to dive into any particular topic, as I'm still learning the ropes, but it's safe to say that I'm enjoying it a lot. I can't recall the last time my mind was so actively challenged. It's incredibly demanding, but just as enjoyable.
For now, it's all about the basics, which is like reviewing the history of (brilliant) human thought. What were the key turning points, and why? What avenues of thought were opened? What was suddenly comprehended, and why? And what the hell did they feed the people who died milennia ago, for them to formulate ideas that remain relevant even today?
In any case, I still consider it important to put my whistleblowing experience out there. As will be detailed in the future, I'm in a very unique position, and the situation lends itself perfectly to unveil some of the structural problems that plague modern academia. To that end, I have updated the previous post—and while it still isn't exhaustive, the evidence should suffice to raise eyebrows, at least.
